Uberhood Round 1 Bluewater Village in the Springtime
Next up is the OG shopping district of Bluewater Village. I play this as a beach theme with matching landscape features/skylines etc and no Winter season, but a double summer together after spring. Of course the natural storyline here is all about business but I play wants based, the only real story I always go with is whom Malcolm Landgraab marries which we shall find out below!
Tinker Household
In the set-up round, the Tinkers opened 'Tinker's Toys' and began selling and making toys, but the business is not making much money. Melody is working hard to study and use her telescope and general logic based objects.
I think it is important to note here that I always play the Tinkers with an agenda. Let us turn to the Landgraabs with Malcolm IV. Looking at his family tree you can see that the Malcolms marry women whose name starts with 'M'. If you scour the game you find only a seven 'M' women who are close enough in age to be eligible for him.
- Mary-Sue Pleasant - She is likely too old and of course married with children
- Mary Gavigan - Also married with a child
- Marissa Cleveland - Also married with a child also too old as well
- Monica Bradford - At University
- Marla Biggs - At University
- Miranda Capp - a teen (Not in my Uberhood)
- Melody Tinker - a teen, lives in the same town of Bluewater Village
Looking at this list, the only eligible 'M' woman suitable in my Uberhood is Melody Tinker and I feel that was the plan from EA/Maxis for her, to become his wife. They tend to have good chemistry, 2 or 3 bolts I find usually, Malcolm IV has an odd quirk also that Melody as his wife fits (in my head), he has skin tone 3, his father has skin tone 2 and grandfather has skin tone 1. Following this pattern would say that Malcolm V (Malcolm IV's future son) should have skin tone 4 and Melody marrying him makes that very much a realistic option. With that said, Melody will marry Malcolm Landgraab.
Wanda and Stephen both want a child and Wanda has a daughter Olivia this round. Due to a mental breakdown i.e. aspiration failure, Wanda's life changed a lot this round. Firstly the new baby, plus she also ditched the idea of a home business, it wasn't making them money really anyway. Thus Wanda now a secondary pleasure sim (I run my calculator for a secondary aspiration when sims have a mental breakdown), decided to get a job and she joined the Journalism career. Stephen and Wanda must be a perfect couple, because despite not having the same mental breakdown, Stephen too wanted to get a regular job, using his physics degree he became an Architect's Apprentice and shut down his business.
Landgraab Household
Malcolm is actually one of my favourite sims to play, I love his backstory and powerful family concept plus his business can tend to be actually viable at making money, or you can focus him on a business career I find he often wants. But this playthrough I will focus on his Club - Club Dante. Last round in the set-up, the club got to rank 4. Starting this round his focus will remain as business and making money. I start with depositing some money to start gaining interest for him on Monique's computer.
Doing a few days at Club Dante, then to the Electronic store, makes Malcolm a decent amount of cash, which he invests to buy more items. Now with £30,000 in his bank and £39,000 in household funds, he is a pretty rich sim.
Jacquet Household
The Jacquets spent their prep round with Gilbert (the romance sim that he is) flirting and woohooing with other sims. Firstly the short haired sim he has a crush on, in my game she is called Gina (She has a different name in every version of the subhood if I remember correct) and so he woohooed with her. Whilst playing as Jessica Peterson, they became another notch on each other's bedpost and finally this round, Gilbert woohooed with Florence Delarosa.
Denise spent much of her time wanting to follow her science hobby with shooting stars and stargazing. But eventually rolled a want to marry rich and see her son engaged. So Denise took it upon herself to find Gilbert a rich wife. Kim Cordial, Vivian Cho, Tara DeBateau, and Cassandra Goth were the options, and despite Gilbert showing no attraction/chemistry with Cassandra, according to his Turn ons she would be the ideal wife. Fun to note I have actually had them marry before in other playthroughs and they are usually successful with a family. (FYI he did actually get 1 bolt of chemistry in the end, clearly needed to see all of her "goods" before he decided she was hot haha!)
After a successful date Gilbert and Cassandra seemed to be destined for one another, but Gilbert had other plans. Alexandra O'Mackey became his fourth venture and now he planned to make Cassandra his fifth. Meanwhile Denise was running the bakery making pittance and not selling much despite her (albeit cheated) excellent sales badge.
Denise now had her sights set on Cassandra for her son to marry and despite her pushing them together, every time Gilbert asked Cassandra to go serious she refused, but was happy to woohoo instead (call yourself a family sim Cassandra... tut tut!). Denis came up with the plan to blackmail the set-up, inviting Cassandra and her family over. Denise convinced Mortimer that Gilbert was the only real option for Cassandra to marry and agreed, they were arranged to be wed on the spot and had a sweet little ceremony in the flowers.
Ramirez Household
During the set-up Lisa chose to follow her dreams of working in Medicine and became a general practitioner, whilst Checo focussed on the furniture store and banked £10,000 in the bank online to star making some interest, fortune sims usually do this when I play as them.
In the last few days of Tessa being a child I forgot about the nanny and almost had her taken away, thank God that children can call for a nanny themselves haha!
Tessa almost always grows into a Romance Sim using my calculator and she did again here and with her family being rich, and Tessa being best friends with Alexander Goth meant it wasn't long until they were kissing in the living room. I hope he doesn't think she will remain faithful to him.
Lisa was struggling with needs and soon found out she was pregnant and gave birth to a son Xavier. All the time she spent this difficult pregnancy, when not fighting to keep her needs up, pining for more skills to help her career.
Delarosa Household
For me, Florence always ends up quite the loner, or marries a widow. In previous games she has been with Mortimer Goth, Stephen Tinker and Darren Dreamer, often never making the first moves. This set-up round for her was no different, she sometimes thinks of flirting with Gilbert but then quickly wants to learn skills in cooking or logic instead. So the focus previous and this round for the Delarosa household is Florence's business, ranking it up to allow her to relax, because her house being so large and full of rather expensive things can make her bills costly often about £500 per time.
Working on her business meant her house, relationships and garden were a mess, so a well deserved day to recover was needed. During this tidy up and recuperate, Flo called for a booty call using ACR and Daren Dreamer arrived, despite being about 50/50 in relationship and no tag, not even friendship they got down to it and became lovers.
Larson Household
Now the Larson's I tend to play with them getting jobs, often law and architecture, and make their money that way, but I decided to follow their business dreams and they opened their home business called 'Larson venue' where they play/sing music to make money. It is difficult as they make pittance, but is a nice change from the static 9-5 feel the rest of the Uberhood tends to have.
In the prep round they were struggling for money and using the ticket machine to charge people very little to watch them play piano and sing. A rearrange of the house shifted the venue into their loft and partitioned most of downstairs for themselves to live in. Later after some stars and business rank up, they invested in a bar, poker tables and karaoke machine to make even more money.
Gieke Household
Chester got a job in Medicine and worked his way to Level 4 Intern in the prep round, now in his first round he is in need of friends to progress in his career. He previously kissed Cassandra (his first kiss) despite not yet being friends and of course she was married to Gilbert Jacquet further up so not a match for him. Chester tried flirting with the maid Kaylynn Langerak and had a slow dance and hug with Natasha Una but no-one seems to tickle his fancy, with all three women so far having 0 or 1 bolt of chemistry for him.
After two promotions and now GP Chester's round was coming to an end, but wait... Kaylynn wants to hang out afer tidying up the tiny house of course... Oh WooHoo on the sofa, well that escalated but of course. Kaylynn spent the night and these two love bird were romantic all night woohoo-ing and eventually fell in love. I wonder where their relationship will go next round.
Roseland Household
Cyd's round began with him becoming friends with Checo Ramirez and Kimberly Cordial and him getting a job in the Science career track. In the first proper round, Cyd was promoted and has everything already for the next promotion to level 5. Concerned his round would be boring, I rolled my ROS Scenarios and he is now going to have a love affair, this is useful because Kim Cordial and he have 2 bolts of chemistry. After a few night of love and woohoo, they were going steady and to end the round Cyd was now an Inventor an had moved up a rank in the social class system I implement
