Expansion Pack Retrospective

Which pack had the most influence on the gameplay and series as a whole?

Each Pack brought new gameplay, new ways to play the games and new experience for all players. My own Sims story begins in the middle of these expansions being released and so I will also be discussing their influence on my own gaming experience as well as what they added to the series and their influence on the series. Please remember this will be my opinion on their series influence and then my own gaming experience, if you have a different opinion that is great but I implore you to be respectful when sharing it.

Influence on the Sims Series

8th Place: Free Time 2008

Free Time came with new sims, a new town and a big focus on hobbies. Despite hobbies being a fantastic addition, the Hobby System was somewhat incorporated into traits and skills, but mostly dropped in Sims 3 and 4. Both games had a lot of the features of sport and instruments but unless a trait specific or want/whim specific to it occurs, then that sim has no specific link to a certain hobby unless the players chooses to create it, putting Free Time sadly into last place.

7th Place: Pets 2006

This pack added in the fury friends into the game. Whilst yes you might be thinking but Sims 3 and Sim 4 added in pets using the same idea of expansion pack and you are right. But where Sims 3 did it better with expanded pets and gameplay for them, Sims 4 just added in Cats and Dog, meaning the influence started in Sims 1, that grew in Sim2 and subsequently Sims 3 with regards to Pets was dropped at Sims 4 (this may be an ongoing theme I suspect).

6th Place: Seasons 2007

Originally meant to be in the Sims 2 Base game, weather was an added feature in the Sims 2 and became an expansion from then on, whether due to need or greed, a pack just about weather has been popular, but when all is said and done it is just weather...

Yes additional deaths and what not were added in, but the Sims 2 at least gave us a great town and the first proper/true Plantsim in their version of weather expansions. So yes weather is a key element and has had a relatively mediocre influence on the series in that it always returns.

NOTE: I must praise the Sims 4 Calendar and Holiday system, it was a real refresh to a rather stale pack and concept by that point in the series.

5th Place: Open for Business 2006

Often heralded as the best expansion pack, looking at it for it's influence on the Sims series as a whole it falls in the middle of the pack. I think the simple answer to 'Why?' is because the Sims 2 did business owning the best and it never really got past this system. Yes Business owning came in Sims 3 and Sims 4, it has never surpassed Sims 2's system for business ownership. Additionally I must just mention the potential link between talent badges in the Sims 2 and the new skill system in Sims 3. Skills in Sims 2 were a little restricting and in the Sims 3 activities got their own Skill tree, which continues to this day in the Sims 4 with dozens of skill trees in existence.

4th Place: Bon Voyage 2007

Last one to not make it onto the podium is Bon Voyage. Vacations were introduced with the Sims 1 and continued to grow throughout the series. Both Sims 3 an then Sims 4 introduced numerous holiday destinations and worlds to 'vacation' within. I think as the series grew into one more based on socialising and 'showing off your experiences' (sadly something society has become) so did the need for Vacationing.

3rd Place: Apartment Life 2008

Bronze award goes to Apartment Life. Of course it is pretty clear what influence this had on the game, apartments. Apartments have been adored by the Sims community since they were introduced with this expansion. Sims 3 and Sims 4 have both taken them to differing places but kept the premise of apartments the same.
Another feature that came here was Witches. Witches like all occults got developed and deepened in subsequent Sims 3 and Sim 4 games, but here is where the life states initially flourished. Though it began in Sims Makin Magic, Witches were not defined nor did they have a proper life state of their own. In apartment life they were fleshed out with spells and charms etc.
Social class is one of the things I wish the Sims 2 had implemented well. I actually think because it felt non-existent that it was never properly introduced again into the series outside of the Sims 3 Neighbourhood view telling you about a sims wealth status and whether they were rich or poor and the interaction that came related to that (albeit they were few and far between).
The last thing this pack introduced was Reputation, this is in short how your playable sim is perceived by the other sims they interact with, i.e. good or bad. In the Sims 2 this lead to a huge variety of outcomes from cheaper rent, promotions, new friends, dates and much much more. Having a good or bad reputation really has huge impacts on your sims. But we are thinking of the impact on the series. This reputation led to the gossip that Sims 3 have when finding out someone cheated, and probably had some influence on traits such as good, evil, commitment issues and many more I presume.

2nd Place: Nightlife 2005

In a very close second comes the socialising and romance focussed pack, Nightlife.

Nightlife completely changed the social and romantic scene in the sims. Before Nightlife, Hot Date had focussed on romance, and House Party focused on partying. Now in Sims 2 Nightlife combined both of these expansions from the Sims 1, and took them further.

Downtown is of course a key to Nightlife with new places to go and meet people, new places to party, dance, drink and date. But in terms of game mechanic so much more was introduced with Nightlife. Other than the inevitable new clothes, hairs and items, cars were introduced here. This pack was the first time the series saw Vampire, which became a main stay staple life state/occult in the series from then on. When vampires appeared in the Sims 3 and then the Sims 4 they were expanded upon each time to make them even more enjoyable and still to this day remain one of most simmer's favourite occults.

With Vampires came the NPC Grand Vampires who can turn your sims, but other NPCs saw the return of the infamous Mrs. Crumplebottom (albeit she is a different woman to the last Miss Crumplebottom), Chef's returned here for the diners and restaurants this pack introduced, as did the DJ for all the parties you would be having in the nightclubs in Downtown. With an emphasis on dates, the Gypsy Matchmaker came into the game to allow you to find blind dates and romances at the end of a phone call or visit of her to your lot.

All of this fun around dating and socialising still exists (less deep but still the premise is there) in the series to date and has become the main point of the game since the days of the Sims 2's playful and somewhat family focus of the game.

I cannot end Nightlife without mentioning that Chemistry systems and Fury came into the game with Nightlife. Chemistry gave us turn ons and turn offs, which somewhat continued to exist in Sims 3 and Sims 4, Fury has some tenuous links to the moodlets and then emotions of Sims 3 and Sims 4. Oh and Grilled Cheese Aspirations.

1st Place: University 2005

I think it is hard to not see the influence that Sims 2 University had on the series. Firstly it had no predecessor like many of the packs before it did in the Sims 1 and so was a novel idea you could debate. As the first expansion it gave us a whole new life stage with Young Adult, which from this point on in the series was a completely new added in Life Age from here on out!

But there is more...

Universities expanded in Sims 3 because of this pack's success and how integral it was to the game. Sims 3 expanded the University options but also saw this pack's influence (sort of) on schooling with Sims 3 Generation Boarding Schools being seen as a 'prequel' to university study for the younger sims. Sims 4 also added in a University system that you could argue is greater than the Sims 2. Whilst the hood, sims, and overall addition in Discover University for the Sims 4 was not great (a running trend for the Sims 4), the University/Study gameplay is actually arguable the best in the series to date. Note that Sims 3 and Sims 2 still had better University packs than the Sims 4 overall.

Sims 2 University gave us the Influence system, which was not really seen again, whilst influence can be useful at times, it did open a realm of social interaction as well as the addition of secret societies, more social interactions from 'Hang out' to streaking. This pack brought new instruments, encouraged new friendships and relationships and gave use mobile phones and mp3 players. All of these became a staple in the series going forward. Even though these were never introduced like they were here, they all became a key element of base game, being included in Sims 3 and 4 base game as a MUST HAVE, but also Sims 3 traits even implied some of these features with Virtuoso wanting to do the new musical instrument skills, even down to the social aspect with Sims 4 have a much more social feel to it.

Lastly this pack as the first Sims 2 Expansion pack also brought new music, new objects, and new clothing themes setting the premise for what all future packs should bring. Sims 4 thinks only adding these bits in, now warrants an expansion pack, back in my Sims 2 days they were the additional perks that were added into an expansion pack as an extra bonus on top of amazing gameplay!

Influence on my own gameplay

Whilst the influence on the series is rather generic, but the influence on my gameplay is very specific to me and below you can see which expansion packs are the most important to my gameplay and therefore see which is my favourite technically.
This was actually rather easy for me, the packs in 7th and 8th place are my least favourite and often mostly feel useless for me, whilst 4th, 5th and 6th all add things I don't mind playing with but couldn't have them all the time. Also 5th and 6th was very close for me! Lastly 1st, 2nd, and 3rd all add key elements to my gameplay and my Sims 2 game cannot be played without!

8th Place: Bon Voyage 2007

This is the pack I play and use the least. Many of the outfits and even the replacements I have are rather niche in where they get used and despite my sims pining for a beach vacation I rarely send them because it is too much faff and it isn't enjoyable gameplay. So this pack is sadly completely unused for me...

7th Place: Pets 2006

Whilst I enjoy the concept of my sims having pets, I actually never really play with them. If my sims want them they can only have them if there spare pets in town. Even when they are in the household, they feel more like a burden, having to feed them and with dogs, bath them. I never choose to teach them any behaviours I spawn the learned behaviours objects and max them all because they are such as chore to train!

6th Place: Open for Business 2006

I have had a rather love-hate relationship with this pack. Sometimes I really enjoy businesses and other times they feel far too much effort for the few simoleons you make. The way I found to make them consistently fun was to give all business owners Gold Sales badges so they can 'Dazzle' customers to make sales. You might think this is 'cheat-y' but in my opinion if the customer has walked into the shop, is viewing a specific item for a while, they basically want to buy it so it is not cheating to forcibly sell it to them. Businesses could be for all sims, I would get bored too quickly, but those few sims it works for I am happy to have every few households, placing this expansion pack here.

5th Place: Apartment Life 2008

Apartments are a great way to get rid of random sims that feel like they still live at home but shouldn't, such as siblings to married couple who are starting families, think Sharon Mole or Kent Capp. Plus this game added witches, which I do enjoy, but moreover, the addition of social class or even the idea of it has made this pack fall around the midpoint for me.

4th Place: Nightlife 2005

Three things make this pack great in my eyes. Chemistry, Fury, and Social/Romance activities are all great aspects to the game. This pack for my gameplay bridges the previous packs that had some quirky features I liked, to the final three packs which are all staple and constant requirements in my gameplay. Whilst I love the chemistry system, I actually have a couple of mods to make it more realistic for me and less about star signs. In the UK Zodiac/Star signs do not mean nearly as much as they do to the US; most brits probably on average end up in a conversation about their star signs once or twice a year, and I wanted my chemistry system to reflect not needing a Star sign system. Fury is great for gameplay and game stories ideas. Social and Romantic activities such as outings and dates are fun additions and exciting when they crop up by chance in my games but I don't use them all that often on purpose.

3rd Place: Seasons 2007

Weather and seasons are key to my gameplay. I enjoy following the weather in real life (Can you tell I am British haha!) plus seasons are how I manage time and rounds within my game so it is key to my gameplay. Gardening in the sims is great too which came with this pack. Including this position and onwards, my game would feel lost without these packs...

2nd Place: University 2005

A lot of my sims end up going to university, it is a big aspect of not only the university/young adult sims, but has major connotations for my teen sims who may work towards university and true adults who (thanks to multiple mods) need their degrees for jobs and promotions etc.

May sound small but College Rock is also my favourite radio station which I always put on eventually during every day's playing I tend to do.

1st Place: Free Time 2008

Do I need to say much more other than Hobbies. Ironically as a child/teen playing the sims I did not own this pack because I thought who wants to fill their time with hobbies? I wanted my sims to make babies and earn money. When I came back to playing the Sims 2 a few years ago and got Free Time, I was hooked on the hobby system and created my own system which is blogged about if you wan to go and read it. Additionally I was also hooked with how much fun following their hobbies was, when a sim feels stale or their needs and wants are sorted and they are in that 'boring phase', I can get them onto their hobby and see where it takes them.

I have a feeling my love for hobbies also stems from the fact they were lost with the trait system in Sims 3 unless there was a specific trait for that hobby; even though you don't need a trait which implies you are good at a hobby to actually enjoy it. Sims that enjoy mechanical stuff don't have to have the handy trait i.e. be good at mechanics to enjoy it. Should all music hobby sims have the virtuoso trait, I know many people who love to sing but can not do it in tune! Haha!

Then Sims 4 slimmed down the trait system and removed many useful deep and meaningful aspects to the game and the hobby system had been entirely lost, you now had to decide "this sim loves the piano". I am aware it has returned and have even played the Sims 4's version. In the Sims 2 the sim decided themselves whether they were a pianist and I adore this!

I would love to hear your opinion on this. Do you feel any of these packs are in very different places in your own gameplay style?

Uberhood Round 2 Upper Class Households

The new Mr and Mrs Goth

Goth Household

Like Betty wanted, Mortimer and she married at the beginning of this round with Alexander and his new girlfriend watching (Tessa Ramirez). Coral Oldie also crashed this small and intimate wedding haha!
Alexander got a promotion and got fat this round and had his first WooHoo with Tessa. The newly weds enjoyed their time together, kissing, doing hobbies and generally doing what elderly sims do.

Pleasant Household

It would seem that being rich has rekindled Mary-Sue and Daniels romantic passions for one another and they have spent a lot of time in the first few days of this round WooHoo-ing in Angela's tent. Of course the girls were fighting but a visit from Dirk meant Lilith had other priorities with her lover and Angela went sunbathing by the pool. Soon enough the time came for both to head to college.

Here Angela sunbathes whilst Lilith and Julien Cooke chat and flirt

Whilst at college Mary-Sue got promoted and Daniel began searching for his next lover. Now the girls have returned will both girls end up with the right lover, both have two men on the go, like father like daughter eh?

Jacquet Household

The Jacquet round began with Cassandra getting her baby bump. Gilbert despite being a romance sim in the slacker career and with no degree, actually focussed well on work during this time and was not interested in WooHoo-ing at all and did not cheat on Cassandra this round. Perhaps he has turned a new leaf I think? Probably not Haha!
After a couple of promotions Gilbert was Level 7 Home Video Editor and earning a decent amount of cash for the family, but a few things transpired and changed this family's future.
Cassandra had an easy pregnancy, in fact on reflection it was probably one of the easiest pregnancies I have ever played, she gave birth to daughter Eugenie Jacquet.
Now a grandma, Denise wanted to head to the J'Adore bakery to earn some cash, I changed the cash register for an automartic one and she made a good start selling hr desserts and making some stars and a business rank up, then a few bum sales the business lost all it's ranks and she sacked the only worker and went running home to tell her son, the owner...
Now promoted, a father, and with his mother ruining his business (one he has never been to I must admit!) Gilbert quit his job and sold his business. Yes that gave him £50K in the bank and still loads in the family funds, but will they be able to live off all this cash? Plus their house is now feeling cramped with a dog and a baby in the midst.

Landgraab Household

Malcolm began the round rich and due to working hard at both his businesses he is now even richer thanks to the money gifting business perks. Club Dante and The Electronics Center are both thriving with managers in place.
This has meant that the latter end of his round, Malcolm could focus on his family line and dynasty. Melody Tinker is the perfect match for him as I discussed in a previous blog post and after a proposal and quick wedding they end this round in wedded bliss.

Ramirez Household

Little Xavier grew up the first day into a neurotic and athletic young toddler. Checo went to his furniture store and made a killing, and so I decided to expand his store to focus on high end products ditching all that cheap crap outside in the yard and instead getting more expensive items. Lisa that same day got a promotion to Specialist in hr Medical Career.
That leads me to Tessa, and oh boy has she had a heck of a round...
Firstly her parents put her into Smuggworth Prep Boarding School (this is a new to me mod I have just added in and it fit the Ramirez's well I felt.) She returned from school and boom she got a baby bump. Yes Teenage Tessa Ramirez is pregnant and despite having a couple of romances on the go, she has so far only done her WooHoo with Alexander Goth. These two upper class families will have big decisions to make!

After much discussion and decisions made, the outcome was...

Alexander and Tessa wed to legitimise their baby. When little Bianca Goth came along it was decided she would spend the rest of this round with her mother. Next round she would spend with her father (who would be going to college) in the Goth Household and then Mortimer and Betty would raise her until both Alex and Tessa were ready to re-join the family.
How will this arrangement work out, we will have to wait until the Goth round next time to see how it all goes...

Roth Household

Stella's hard work came back in leaps and bounds with a double triple this round, now to a higher level than her husband! Morty is not far behind and will likely be promoted again soon.
Sandra came back this round from uni and is now on the search for a job and a husband. Despite wants for Jacob martin (literally all the time!) they are angry with each other ever since she found him with Angela Pleasant when we were playing his round. This meant she has ended up with Justin Cleveland and the two are now an item. I wonder if in the Cleveland round they will take this further? She already wants to marry!
Lastly Xander, now in Boarding School, he has spent this round desperate to make his thing with Pauline Aspir official!
A successful WooHoo for Sandra Roth and Justin Cleveland but with her constantly hungry and tired, it may mean their relationship is about to become a throuple...

Kim Household

Cynthia Kim's in-home salon was thriving this round and ranked up, giving Cynthia the cash business perk. With little aging up this round, we focused on hobbies, skills and had a pretty easy round. With a final perk for Cynthia, her round with her salon was complete. Robert was promoted to Level 9 in the Entertainer career and is ready to reach the top. Justin has worked out and worked hard at school, leaving little Nancy, who has aged up to be a slob and a lover of yellow.

Contender Household

The Contender round was as expected for the most part. Jessica and Carlos both were WooHoo-ing with each other and behind each others back. Jessica was pregnant this round and gave birth to their daughter Francisca, a red headed cutie!
The only major drama was the pair finding each other in the arms of another and have some fury from that, but they are already romantic once more and will continue to be I am sure.

Baldwin Household

The Baldwins began with Isabel and Marcus heading to the park for some family fun.
Upon return to the family, Sofia found out she was pregnant. As a teenager. With lower-class Daniel Bell. Being a Romance Sim and knowing her parent would not approve and Daniel was not overly family focussed, she decided to not become a mother at this time and entered into boarding school when the matter was finalised.
Isabel and Benjamin both worked hard this round and tried to maintain family status in what has become a rather cramped space for this family of five. It all came crashing down for Benjamin when thanks to a chance card he lost his job and was demoted to Level 1 Test Subject.
Will this family plateau after all the upheaval now that all the children are growing or is more big changes on the way?

Riley Household

Now in their own house the Riley's have grown well. Etsu became a teenager, looking a lot like her deceased father, she became a bookworm with a focus on family a lot like her mother. Viv gave birth to her and Tim's daughter Ivy who looks a lot like her mother. Tim was promoted and Sally made a little move on Justin Kim but it never got very far.

DeBateau Household

Armand and Samantha loved their shared parenthood and right at the end of this round had a second child, a son Henri. During this round Tara went to University and will return next round and Samantha got promoted to Level 6 of the Medical Carer.
That is this family in a nutshell.

Cleveland Household

Within a few days Justin returned home from college and like his father was desperate to join the Law Enforcement career. Justin quickly flew up the ranks and after a dodgy chance card, surpassed his father and became his boss. Marissa continued with her writing this round, writing books and article to make some money, but the biggest shock for her came when the ROS gave her £100K jackpot win, in which she quickly invested half for herself and half for her son, making a tidy regular interest via Monique's computer.
More money equals more clothes in Marissa's eyes. Here is her new outfit.

Justin and Sandra were already engaged by the end day of the round and thinking how Marissa would be, they ended the round getting married and moving out. Here is the moment before two families were united.
This lead to Justin and Sandra wedding, moving out and into the apartment opposite, forming two Cleveland families.

Rutherford Household

Geoff after a quick WooHoo with Jason Larson spent a lot of this round wooing Kimberly Cordial and did a lot of WooHoo with her, I will be surprised if she is not pregnant...
Connor continued his steady relationship with Cleo, but a late day to work lost him his job the day after he had been promoted to Vice President Level 7 in her career. Whether because he felt stuck with Cleo or whether he had lost his mind slightly with his fall from a high end career, but Connor went over to Geoff and proposed marriage and Geoff accepted. I had not realised that a sim could be steady with one sim and marry another, that is interesting potential game play to know Mwuaha!
Minutes later Geoff, who had just finished kissing Kimberly whom he had invited over prior to the proposal from Connor, did a WooHoo with Kimberly and Connor saw, and broke up that very short lived (20ish in game minutes) proposal.
Now with their relationship pretty much unrepairable they decided to part as friend after lots of playing chess, so Connor moved out at the end of the round and can now move in with Cleo when Patricia leaves her on her own when she leaves to move in with Gabe O'Mackey, this is like hermit crabs here, everyone swapping houses at once haha

Patel Household

The Patel's round began with Ana giving birth later that morning to son Kripa, but tragedy struck...
Thanks to Ramir's convincing plea, Ana was saved from death and little Kripa would grow up with his mother around. When Ana and Ramir had gathered enough friends, Ramir was promoted to Congressperson.
At the end of the stream Ana gave birth to their 3rd son Levi and that means more time off work for her.

Ramir now has a wife and 3 sons to support, will his job as a Congressman be enough in this now bursting at the seams apartment?

Cordial Household

Kim had an easy round, she was working for most of it and did get promoted to Level 7 and did many WooHoos with Geoff, but no pregnancy. In the final night Kim now ready with friends and skills for her next promotion went on a date with Geoff and got engaged to him, but will he turn her down at the alter? We will have to find out next round...

Gavigan Household

Coming later in 2024

Goodie Household

Coming later in 2024

Uberhood Round 2 Middle Class Households

With my recent class system post (please go and read if you're interested) I have now decided to move to playing my rotation (this round at least) by class. One, to get me more acquainted who is in which class, but second and more important so I can have some variety between the hoods and families.

Lothario Households

Don spent this round with more WooHooing. He has been working his way through the single ladies in town and his co-workers. It is  like a sitcom! He is the hunky Doctor who WooHoos with all the nurses haha! One of his new dalliances was Natasha Una, who seems rather taken by him. Will she tame the infamous Casanova of Pleasantview?
I am just surprised no one is carrying his child yet!

Traveller Household

Tabitha and Tina both grew up in this round. Tina is growing up to be a little spoilt and childish. Tabitha, however, is evil and mean spirited, sounds like she will be a joy to play when we age her up again.

Trent got promoted and Trisha finally rolled a career want, becoming a journalist. Last round Trent, via my ROS, rolled to kill another Sim. This round he selected Angela Pleasant as his victim. This is beginning to sound a planned out murder oops...

Delarosa Household

Florence was a rather boring round as she continued to sell her wares and make some money, gaining a few ranks in her business, but nothing more.

Gieke Household

Chester was a pretty easy round, he worked hard, got a promotion and fell further into love with his cleaner Kaylynn Langerak. But will their relationship go further or result in a marriage or children?

Roseland Household

Well as the picture shows, Cyd is dead and so is the Roseland line...
How did we get there I hear you ask. Well...
Cyd was doing well this round, with 2 promotions he was now Level 8 of his Science Career. But painting outside for hours, combined with the flu was shown to be a deadly outcome. Overheating dropped his hunger, then a coughing fit dropped it further and he too dropped... to the floor...
Who will adopt little Porthos the dog now?

Wan Household

Patricia and Cleo both focussed on their blossoming romances and their careers. Cleo spent a lot of time doing her reading hobby and building skills for a promotion. Patricia despite spending time with Gabe never got any further with him.
After 2 firings, Patricia has stuck around level 1 and 2 in her career despite desperately wanting to progress. But ROS rolled to force a pregnancy and she ended up this round carrying Gabe's child, whilst her future step-daughter was already with child.

O'Mackey Household

This round Gabe was focused on career and skills again and never had a single want for Patricia, I am beginning to think they will never be married. But actually with her ROS roll to get pregnant, she will be moving in with the O'Mackey's in the next round and Gabe and her will be (forcibly) paired up into a relationship to raise this baby.
Ironically whilst we may have been desperate for Patricia and Gabe to have a baby, Jules who only wanted a WooHoo with David Ottomas, has also found herself pregnant and due the following morning after we return to this family. Will she stay or will David in his round have other ideas?

Larson Household

Jason and Jodie have once again been focussed on their little business, trying to maintain their economic status ( and just achieving it), ranking their business up  and have thus far not focussed on careers elsewhere, love or family, but could that change now they are both nearly 40?

Aspir Household

The Aspirs lived a pretty humble and normal family round. After Taxes basically made them bankrupt. the family have worked hard to maintain their Middle Class status. Elizabeth is now Senior Manager at work. Pauline grew into a Teen in this round and like is destined for her, she became a Knowledge Sim, but because of her having a higher Pleasure sim score on my calculator she is a secondary Pleasure Sim. Little Fern grows up a day after and the family seem set to remain strongly Middle class as a happy little family unit.
But as it does so often for us Simmers, Flu strikes and Victor dies, to make it worse Luis kicks and smashes his urn up and everyone one else wants to resurrect him. Thankfully there is already a lamp in this household as set up by EA and so Victor is swiftly resurrected to end this round off. Here is Pauline as a teen and her little sister Fern.

Una Household

Natasha continued selling her artistic wears, gaining new badges in pottery, sales and restocking. Ranking her business up twice left Natasha a very rich spinster and with her cousin Luis' want for a relative to get engaged, over appears Don Lothario, whom Natasha has a crush on (I promise I did not invite him very much on purpose). After some flirting and WooHoo, they were in love and Natasha popped the question. Now engaged and rich, what will life hold for Natasha in the next round where she will be moving to the upper class.

Cooke Household

Despite love affairs with Chastity Gere, Nina Caliente, and Sharon Mole; Julien had not found his true love. I had suspicions that he and Lilith would make a nice duo and now she was an adult he invited her over and they did hit it off. After multi WooHoo-ing sessions, lots of flirting and cuddling the duo were deeply and madly in love. But regardless of his feelings, Julien ended the round with a promotion to Sous Chef and nothing more solid in a romantic relationship to show other than his love for Lilith. I wonder if she will feel a need to push their relationship further after her college round?

Contrary Household

The Contrarys had quite an easy round really. Opal and Edward focussed on skills and their career promotions. Late in the round, Rick arrived home from college and still has a terrible relationship with them. Will he move out to be with Violet or Angela?

Picaso Household

The Picaso's round was tough. Twin toddlers is always a rough time and this family was no different. Earning good money through work and promotions in the Military career has meant that Jessica and Matthew have been able to extent their house an entire floor and are ready for their family to grow once more as Jessica is pregnant again at the end of this round.

Viejo Household

Catherine now as the only elderly lady in the house had very few romance wants and mostly just played her piano and cared for herself. Andrew got a make over from last rounds ROS and then a promotion at work. When Jacob arrived he was torn between his fiancé Sandra Roth and Angela Pleasant and due to his wants, both were invited over and he was flirting with them in tandem. After eventually WooHoo-ing with Angela, Sandra broke up with him despite being desperate for a marriage and baby.
Will Jacob stick with Angela now?

I hope you are enjoying reading my blogs and stories. Have you played with a class system? Do you consider these families I have played to be the middle class ones in your head or gameplay?
