Uberhood Round 1 Belladonna Cove

Now to the final sub hood I have in my Uberhood and the ending to Round 1. But with this town by far the richest of them all, will they splash the cash to fulfil lots of wants, or does money truly not by you happiness?

Contender Household

Carlos spent the set-up round Woohooing Jessica and Tara Kat. In the prep round for Jessica she had a few days and woohooed with Carlos (becoming engaged too), Gilbert Jacquet, Gabriel Green, and Darren Dreamer. At the start of the Contender first round they married and Jessica of course moved in and immediately wanted to buy jewellery and clothes with her aging husband's money.

After Carlos woohooed with Marylena Hamilton, his townie friend. Jessica came home pregnant nearer the end of their round, but how will this baby grow up with both parents having a wondering eye?

Baldwin Household

In their set-up round the Baldwins had work and woohoo on their mind. Meaning the first round has Isabel pregnant, whilst little Sofia was working hard to get the best grade she could, and she did! Now a teen, Sofia has been flirting with Daniel Bell and the two have had their first kiss and WooHoo already, but will their crush become more? Marcus has grown into a sporty child and wants to make friends, sounds to me like Marcus is going to be a Popularity sim however, we will have to find out.

Isabel and Benjamin are now job focussed and skill/learning generally focussed. Benjamin wants to make friends but I suppose that is his inner popularity sim isn't it?

So that leaves us with the new baby, Vincent, who looks like his features are more of Benjamin than Isabel I feel, what do you think?

Riley-Cho Household

In my set-up they did what the plan from Maxis was, and fell in love and WooHooed, now at their first round they were married instantly and the Chos moved into the Riley's place.

Etsu was a bit of a nightmare because she needed all of her skills and it was heart to teach them all in the two days she had left as a toddler. Plus having four sims in this small apartment meant within a few minutes of playing them I knew they were moving into a house at the end of this round! With the amount of money the family have Sally was enrolled into Private School, when Etsu grew up finally she too went straight to private school despite her hating her life and growing up terribly and always wanting to tantrum!

Sally grew into the Knowledge Sim she was planned as with her Max 7 skills lifetime want. But my calculator had her as a Popularity and so that is her secondary aspiration. Now the round is over, Vivian is now pregnant and the family have moved into a new house

DeBateau Household

Armand fell for Samantha Cordial in the set up round and finally in the first round they got married at my newly built 'Church of the Hills' built in Riverblossom Hills. 

Samantha got a promotion and found out she was pregnant in this round, Tara reached her A+ she wanted and the top of the political career. Despite not initially getting long, Tara and Samantha do seem to be liking each other now.

When Ophellie arrived near the end of the round, Samantha was now a resident at work and enjoying living in her new penthouse suite. Tara is constantly rolling the University want, as a knowledge sims she will go regardless in my gameplay rules. Armand has been pretty chilled when not at work, playing video games, painting and watching TV, now with a new-born baby, will his life have a new focus and drive?

Cleveland Household

The prep and main round were both rather uneventful for the Clevelands. The biggest scandal was Jason's sleeping with his brother in law which no one knows about. He worked hard at work to become Detective. Marissa started writing novel and article to make some cash and became the socialite she is contacting and befriending as many of the rich sims that she can, probably hoping to make  match for her beloved heir and son. Justin focused on school, work and going to uni (pushed by his mother). He has become close to a now teen Sally Riley, wonder if that will lead to anything?

Rutherford Household

Geoff started off woohoo-ing his brother in law, his best friend and roommate and eventually found himself engaged to Dina Caliente. The first round was played with the intention they would wed at the end, as per Dina's want to marry a rich sim. Connor was more focussed on work and skills than finding a love match and his crush on Cleo Shikibu has gone nowhere in his own round.

The wedding began at the Church of the Hills and maybe didn't end as expected...

Previously Dina found Connor and Geoff making out, and he had apologised profusely but it seems that it was no good to Dina and his money could pay for her heartbreak.

Whatever will Geoff do now? Oh wait, there is Jason Larson...

Green Household

Coming May 2024

Gabriel has previously been hooking up with Jessica Peterson but now married he has left her alone. Falling for Brandi broke was next for Gabriel, but too many drinks and a WooHoo with Chastity, left him wanting to ask for her hand in marriage.

Chastity meanwhile despite her nature, was smitten for Geoff Rutherford and after his break up from Dina was probably a rebound with Chastity.

The next day they got engaged, but Chastity feared the engagement, the marriage wanted to WooHoo (but not Gabriel), in comes Carlos Contender ... Excuse the pun ...

Now Gabriel already had a dislike for Carlos, so you could imagine the terror to ensue when he catches Carlos and Chastity in bed...

By the next morning the pair were at breaking point and sharing a bathroom was too much, Chastity broke up the engagement, demanding separate bank accounts and all their own money.

Chastity spent the rest of the round having more fun with man after man. First Julien Cooke, followed by Sanjay Ramaswami, the latter of which she wanted to invite over every day. You can imagine my shock when Chastity was not pregnant and began her period. Gabriel kept working on skills and gained a promotion just like Chastity had done earlier in the round.

Patel Household

The Patels had baby Faheem in the initial set-up round and so when beginning their first round they were busy new parents trying to juggle work and their new born son. Ramir got promoted in his political career but will need quite a few more skills if he plans on getting promoted once more. Ana is currently pregnant again and is due to give birth moments after we get back to them in the next round. Ana has also spent this round caring for the new-born and some work and due to the ROS I have implemented in my gameplay she is also needing to write a cookery book. However, she was far too unpredictable in her early pregnancy to complete it this round. Ana and Ramir are both Cuisine sims and are constantly wanting to cook and eat food (a couple after my own heart!)

Will young (and cute!) Faheem remain the centre of his parent's world when the new baby sibling arrives?

Cordial Household

Playing these for 1 day, to try to match the ages up when Samantha married Armand, although it seems to have thrown Sam and Kim's ages out of sync somehow, oh well, SimPE to the rescue haha!

Kim now alone for the rest of the round began with a party and hit it off with Geoff Rutherford, and she would make a great match for him, and so a cheeky little flirt, shame her boyfriend Cyd Roseland was stood behind her, and now he is furious with her. After that good party, Kim focussed on skills and work with the odd want peppered in there for making friends and having fun. She is truly showing what a Knowledge/Popularity combo sim is stereotypically like.

Cyd clearly did not take this betrayal well and daily (and I mean daily!) he would com and knock the bin over or steal the newspaper a couple of times, sometimes he would do both together. Kim had had enough and broke it off with him and his crazy ways! So with gaining skills, friends, and fighting the vermin; Kim barely had time for her painting hobby.

Gavigan Household

Well the Gavigans in their first round set up were pretty under the radar, boring, poor, not friends. But this round have truly had a change in fortunes, and it is all thanks to little Isaiah's genie lamp. Nathan wished for wealth as the fortune sim he is and they are now catapulted into the rich list. Mary had a new baby and the Gavigan's gained little Whitleigh. But with Nathan having the skills and not the friends to progress in his Law career the family are feeling a little stunted. Rolling my ROS has meant that Mary is actually infertile using the RCC, but she is still so desperate for a third baby, instead filling her time with a new career as a law Enforcement Cadet. With lots of options for the future of this family, where will the next round take them?

Newson Household

Moving the Newsons into a scummy looking hovel in the rough area of Belladonna Cove and spending all their money on 'junk' furniture meant they are poor and eclectic, adding to their difficulty as a family. 

Gavin went to uni pretty early in the round and so I had to go and play the uni round before completing these to keep my aging ( and my perfectionism OCD) in line. NOTE I have decided to play my Uni/college round blog-less, its pretty hectic when I play and I find it sometimes too tedious and blogging alongside may remove what fun it does have to play that round, but don't worry my dear readers, you will learn the stories as we move in our freshly graduated sims.

Gavin moves back in with his Biology degree and some cash in the bank. And of course as a fortune sim, splurges it instantly and basically sends the poor family into debt, oops! 

Ginger was desperate date and out at the teen hangout she found Dustin broke so attractive and started flirting with him, as Angela arrived. Once they were broken up, Ginger swooped in and got her first kiss, desperate to make him her boyfriend

Now selling all the rubbish they have, Gavin is finding a way to steer this sinking shit of a household. How will this terribly poor and awkward gang of misfits make it through life?

Goodie Household

The Goodie's being the elder couple they are can be quite boring. These in their set-up 5 day round were unbearable to play they just wanted to slow dance, smooch and build skills. So I decided to have them host the grand ball, a meet up for the High Class sims (of which they are) and meet future matches and friends. Afterall, high class usually wants to breed with high class whether it archaic or not. The Grand Hall was built and the fir ball held, 3 eligible bachelors were chosen to be the focus and Malcolm IV, Geoff Rutherford and Xander Roth scoped out the room and talked with their best matches - Will this lead anywhere, next round will have to be where we find out!

Uberhood Round 1 Desiderata Valley

Valley in bloom

Desiderata Valley is next. In this town I moved in both the Kim and Kat families. I felt there houses fit the aesthetic best as Desiderata Valley has a rather eclectic mix of sims and household architecture.

Kim Household

The Kims are pre-set-up with the storyline that their TV show has been cancelled and they must survive in the 'real world'. Naturally Robert went into Entertainment, Cynthia became a posh stylist and Justine worked hard in school. In their main round Cynthia fell pregnant and subsequently had baby Nancy, and here she is!

Justin grew into a romance teen with plans of being a Rock God, Cynthia's business was steady but needs a lot of work, whereas Robert has excelled in his job and is now Level 9 headliner (and they said his TV career was over...) Oh and the pets still exist, and have jobs apparently haha!

Aspir Household

The Aspirs began their prep round as expected, with Victor wanting a baby and Elizabeth wanting a promotion. Both of these wishes were met in Round 1. Elizbeth gave birth to Fern and Pauline grew into a foodie loving child. Fern has since become the cute toddler above who is destined to love art (and hate it - she is a critic!). Victor was promoted early this round and focussed on his children the rest of the time, Elizabeth worked on skills and is now a Junior Executive. Luis spent most of his time doing his hobby of tinkering with all the toys and cars around the lot and cared for the children as mum and dad both worked hard, gaining quite a few skills and the flu along the way.

Jocque Household

Sophia and Marcel worked on another baby in the prep round which meant returning for the first round, Sophia was pregnant and gave birth to daughter Helena. Marcel, once a father again, learnt parenting and wanted a promotion, shame he has already spent too much time at the nectar bar, I blame his Cuisine (Fine Dining) hobby haha!

Violet has fallen out with Ricky after what went down at the Pleasant household and the only eligible teen boy for her to go to prom with was Dustin broke and now she is his BFF, will more come of this pairing? Might have to wait as Violet is off to Uni!

Bell Household

Despite the implied drama, the Bells have remained pretty wholesome if you ignore Sharon's WooHoo wants. In this first round, Hannah and Isaac both got promoted (somehow!?) and both never wanted to gain skills so it is hard making them actually get promoted. Daniel grew up into a teen who is Knowledge with a secondary Family. Sharon had relationships with Don Lothario, Julien Cooke and John Mole. In this first round she ensured each of those three lovers was a make out and woohoo, then moved onto Peter Ottomas, Herb Oldie was the plan but she didn't get on with him when they randomly met on a community lot. Sharon still hasn't fallen pregnant, I wonder when that will change?

Contrary Household

Opal and Edward spent all of their play time trying to gain the odd skill, some bits of their hobbies but working and getting some promotions (and one demotion for Edward). This left Rick alone in the prep and first round, and despite him doing well at school, his poor (red) aspiration and bad conversations with his parents (even though he does not consider them enemies anymore) he ran away...

As soon as Opal reported it he arrived back home more miserable. Poor Rick, but with a few skills and a day at the pool and work, Rick was happy enough to head off to college.

Mole Household

John is to me the epitome of a loner sim and has spent his set-up and first round working hard and falling further into love with Sharon Wirth. In this first round for John he had Sharon round every day WooHoo-ing almost every night (She must be pregnant now?!)
After a proposal, they ended the round a married couple and Sharon moved in, moved in with a want to WooHoo 5 sims... poor John...

Una Household

Natasha set up her own business 'The Creative Corner' in her prep round and became 'Self-Employed' with the mod for that career. Selling her pottery, sewing creations and works of art, she plans to make her money, enough to buy her beloved grilled cheese with. Natasha is a Secondary Knowledge sim and loves to study cooking. Having a Bronze Sales and Sewing badge means she can sell more items and better hopefully. But with her focus on grilled cheese sandwiches and her arts store, will she find love, especially considering she is bisexual, she has a few more options than most other sims.

Cooke Household

Julian  has been a bit of a loner, despite not being one and being a popularity sim. He spent his rounds working, out at the bar and coffee shop speaking to sims. In this first round, he took a liking to Lilith Pleasant, and I think his inappropriate trait is spot on with him because he kept wanting to hug her and invite her round - She is still a teen Julian!
Maybe they could be a couple in the next couple of days as she is about to age up or go to college. Julian might feel bad that everyone hates her?

Picaso Household

In the prep round the Picaso's just had a bit of couple alone time and moved into a house, so by the time the first round came, Jessica was pregnant the first night whilst Matthew was promoted at work. Another promotion and two sim working in military (plus a ROS £100 tax refund) has the Picasos really making a lot of money! Just in time for the twins to be born!

Will Iyanna and Kaeden grow up well with two busy military parents?

Kat Household

During the prep round, Tara focussed on her little cat family, which thanks to Samantha and Mickey's kitten doubled in size, bringing in Finley, Nell and Zoe. Tara also worked on her hobby of sewing, gaining a silver badge, and had a fling with Carlos Contender.

Now in her first round, Carlos is married and actually isn't contacting her to hook up strangely enough?! Andrew Martin became her new man and they went steady after lots of kissing and woohooing. Tara is not continuing wit her sewing and now has a gold badge to show for it, whilst also having sold her now adult kittens to Wanda Tinker, Vivian Riley, and Armand DeBateau. Tara may also be showing signs of pregnancy...

How to play University my way.

Here is how I play university rounds in my games.

Going to College

My teens can go to college if their roll the want to go on their last day before they would go. I usually send my sims on the penultimate day (at the notification that their birthday is one day away). If they have the want, then they will go to college.

Knowledge and Fortune sims always go in my game, whether they have it as their primary or secondary aspirations. If family members want them to go, then they go, especially my rich sims/families.

Lastly, if they have rolled a want related to a scholarship whilst as a teen then they usually go to college in my playthroughs.

NOTE: if I am playing with social class, more rules are used to dictate whether they go to uni.

Choosing a major

Most sims roll a want for a certain major on the return from their first day at class I find and I would primarily follow that, but I will also if they haven't chosen it by the time they are nearing the end of their Sophomore year, then I will use my majors calculator.

It is based on their skillset and what skills each major needs. Here you can see a screenshot of part of it:

'Wants' and passing the year

If my sims roll any want for skills or research or write term paper etc they can be locked in and fulfilled. The only exception is ones about completing the year/graduating or getting on the deans list, I don't lock these (mostly because they take the entire semester to complete) but also because I use them broadly to imply other wants.

Say my Sim with 4 want slots has a want for 'Completing the freshman year', 'Become best friends with X', 'Smustle Dance' and 'Invite Sim over' then their want to complete the year will allow me to play them until the term grade bar is at the point where they would pass the year, and I would complete any skill(s) they need to make them pass the year. Should this sim want to be on Dean's list, they I would complete skills until they have unlocked the entire bar.

If at any point the sim rerolls wants and no longer has the 'Completing the freshman year' want I would stop trying to make them gain skills and study to complete it.

Age differences?

Sending them to college a day early means that when the college sim is moved back in with a sim (say they were twins) who did not go to college, the college sims is technically 3 days younger. I use the simblender to make them 3 days older and they are back in sync!

Uberhood Round 1 Riverblossom Hills

Uberhood Round 1 Riverblossom Hills, simply blossoming with spring

Greenman Household

Jason cared for Daisy between gardening and loving up his wife in both the prep and round 1.

Rose gave birth to their daughter Willow, a Human/Plantsim hybrid.

McGreggor Household

Leo spent the set-up round wanting to farm and so I planted him lots of seeds. This first round he spent his time majority of it at least in the garden tending to his crop only after the round was almost up was it harvested (Some is till left for next round!)

With a large plot, Leod very quickly did enough spraying of his plants to become a Plant sim. Also this round Leod fell for Alexandra O'Mackey and they did a few lots of WooHoo around the farm.

O'Mackey Household

Gabe and Jules started the round this time the same as last time with loads of breakpoint errors on their carpools, so after an impromptu move for them they had a better time. Jules is close to being the over achiever her father wishes for. Also to this Gabe is wishing only for skill related wants and nothing about Patricia. In fact he has spent this round and the prep round ignoring her existence totally.

Jules is desperate for a relationship and has her sights (and 2 bolts) set on David Ottomas.

After some dad dancing, and lots of befriending for both Jules and Gabe, Jules and David Ottomas finally made their relationship official, but sadly when Patricia Wan came over, she and Gabe did not make things more officially, she just coughed from her flu!

Wan Household

Patricia and Gabe's relationship was rather static for most of the prep round and this first round, other than a couple of nights together little progress was made. Cleo still had no romance. ROS set her up on a blind date via the matchmaker, this lost her $980 for nothing as they had no chemistry with each other. A night out or evening I should say, for Cleo led to her getting her first kiss with Connor Weir, I wonder if this will lead anywhere?

Patricia lost her job this round and had to work her way back up, current at level 2 journalism as a Blog Writer.

Viejo Household

Catherine took her WooHoo number up to three in this first round by getting it on with Timothy Riley, having previously gotten 'jiggy' with Herb Oldie on his set-up round. She spends the rest of the round making friends via the phone and playing Piano.

Betty got romantic with Mortimer Goth in the prep round and now with his break up with Dina, she is his only main lover. Despite their love he would not go steady with her, but eventually did and they got engaged, with plans to marry when we next see the Goths as Betty wants to marry a rich sim. Things got weird for Betty and Andrew when he WooHooed with his apparent 'Godmother' mid week, and they became romantic again the early morning of the last night before the round ended.

That left Jacob who focussed on school and his hobbies, becoming prom king at one point and heading to College.

Roth Household

Stella became fast friends with some of the Bluewater Village mums, which quickly allowed her to get promotion after promotion in the main round. Sandra has lost her momentum with school, but Xander is doing extremely well!

With Sandra off to college and Xander all grown up into a teen. the Roth family is doing great especially when noting both Morty and Stella's promotion(s).

Ramaswami Household

Sanjay and Priya worked on their house, careers and making a baby in the set up round, which ended with Priya in the Artist career and Sanjay losing his music job. Priya gave birth to daughter Xara early into the first round and Sanjay began playing piano and growing some veggies out back. Very quickly it was obvious that Priya was pregnant once again.

But with joys of pregnancy can come the disasters, Priya was sick with flu all of her pregnancy and hours before she was due to go into labour she woke up in the middle of the night and died.

How will Sanjay raise little Xara all on his own without a job?

Ottomas Household

In the prep round Samantha had her twins, William and Oscar and Tommy became a child. Now in the main round, Sharla became a teen and David grew into an adult. Prior to his aging he had been dating and going steady with Jules O'Mackey, they have great chemistry! But with her still a teen, he may have to wait if he plans on marrying or anything more committed in their relationship.

If you have ever played this household you may know them for being notoriously difficult as 8 sims, the house is too small, lots of kids and they were not different this round, with roaches in the house and everyone with the flu throughout...

Finally near the end of the round and having done more than a little bit of cheating to survive the flue, motive decay and the social worker (about 5 times), the toddler twins grew up, Dora also died at that point, leaving her family some money and enough to make a few household changes to suit parents with 5 children. David brought Marie Rauscher home and when saying goodbye kissed her, not sure Jules will ever know of this, it did not change David and Marie's relationship at all.

O'Mackey Household

Alexandra as the single woman she is spent a lot of time socialising, working hard and flirting in her prep and first rounds, but a shocking engagement (thank you ACR) to Leod McGregor followed by an even more shocking pregnancy, Alexandra became a mother again to Elizabeth, sending her to her father and finishing the round having moved in with Leod and her unwanted daughter and on the eve of her second marriage. If she goes through with it...
